Bottles collected by Junior School pupils at Polam Hall School in Darlington aren’t just sitting on a wall; they have become the wall, the roof and the door of a new plastic bottle greenhouse!

The entire pupil body collected ordinary two litre bottles and brought them into school, amassing enough for two greenhouses. The bottles were then put onto cane poles by the children and the frame of the greenhouse was built by the Maintenance Team and then assembled.

The greenhouse used nearly 1,000 plastic bottles which were collected over 12 months with construction taking two weeks.
